To help ensure your ability to recover rapidly from a data loss even, VaultCentral will assist you with a backup regime based on a "grandfather-father-son" approach. This will ensure that current backups can be recovered quickly in the event of a loss, or that files that may inadvertently have been deleted between full backup points, can be recovered from earlier generation backups;
VaultCentral's vaulting system software will create rotation cases for 12 months forward which will provide you with a detailed schedule which can be followed confidently to ensure that your backups are rotated appropriately and that the correct media is cycled every time.
Your media will be placed in containers with approved tamper-evident security seals to ensure that there is no access to your data without your knowledge. Our transport packaging has been tested by the CSIRO and is designed to provide protection from the environment during transit.
Trained VaultCentral employees in air-conditioned vehicles will transport your media. You media will also be placed in insulated containers during transit.
VaultCentral employs a vault management and data backup rotation system based on commercial grade software from the Sage Group which incorporates barcode technology. The correct backup media for each backup event will be selected for each rotation and will be transported to and from your office at the prescribed time by the VaultCentral driver. Our systems ensure that the correct backups arrive at the right time and are removed offsite as soon as possible.
A secure login via your unique username and password will provide you with access to your account details, a view of all your media in rotation and storage, monthly reports and the ability to request non-urgent retrievals.
You have access to your backups 365 days a year. In a crisis we will get it back to you fast. We are just a telephone call away and urgent retrievals can be delivered to your address within 1-2 hours.
Should your company elect to use the VaultCentral service, the service parameters will be set out in a concise agreement. Prior to the first rotation service, a VaultCentral representative will provide the necessary training regarding our service. Given the extent to which the service is automated, this training takes no longer than 15 minutes.
Your backups will be securely stored in a secure climate controlled environment at an undisclosed location. The backups are protected from the environment, loss and unauthorised access. Our storage operations are guided by International Standards ISO 18923 and 18933 'Imaging Materials Storage Practices'
